Laser Vein Treatment

Our office offers state-of-the art laser treatments for broken blood vessels, red spots and that unwanted web of veins. Laser therapy is a thoroughly tested and clinically proven treatment for these conditions. In fact, the latest advances in laser technology have produced a method for removal that is safer, faster, and more effective than previous laser methods.

These lasers emit a powerful beam of specialized light that passes through the skin and is preferentially absorbed by the unwanted blood vessels, causing them to disappear. With our laser we have the capability to treat a wide variety of vascular lesions such as facial spider veins, scars, and warts, to more advanced applications, such as leg veins and debilitating port wine stains and hemangiomas. A laser "facial" allows us to treat conditions such as rosacea, a persistent redness of the skin. The use of the laser makes it possible to treat these conditions without problematic purpura, or bruising, that is a normal occurrence after laser treatment. Purpura sometimes necessitates the use of heavy make-up or delays a patient's return to social activity.

While the exact cause of spider veins is unknown, they have a strong genetic component. They are more common in men than women, and can occur on any area of the body, but are most common on the legs and face. The results with our lasers are excellent.
